Can't ride for another three and a half weeks. Dizzy is being a cow due to not being ridden/handled enough (battered arm makes ground work interesting, especially when she whacks it!). Don't have a trailer so can't get out to the shows with the other neds.

Sat sitting on a sofa wondering why I bother. Talking of bother, can't even be bothered to shift ar&e to yard - I will go, just don't really want to.

Ho hum.

I know others have far worse than me, but it's starting to feel continual - there's always something that means we can't just get on and do and play and enjoy.

Maybe a coffee will help

We all have days like this Mrs M

I think you are doing really well, especially brave for working Dizzy from the ground with an arm that's so damaged!!
a055.gif

Don't let it get you down, keep your sparkle, and all will be well soon!!

Oh MrsM.

If it is any consolation I am full of cold and feel rubbish for not riding my ned these last 2 days (plus I was supposed to go on a 25mile training bike ride today too.

)

No words of advice but I do want to compliment you on your 'sat sitting' turn of phrase.

f_s - ta hunny. Dizzy, whilst the world's most beautiful and kind and loving horse ever, is an absolute cow if not worked/reminded who is boss - give her an inch and she'll take your head off! Stay as boss and she is absolutely wonderful and biddable (okay, not counting the bouncing about under saddle
cool.gif
). If I don't do something with her she would quickly become unmanageable - and she's a lot of hoss!
g045.gif

MF - sympathy and empathy heading your way (eek! my emoticon site isn't playing
frown.gif
).

OH, MrsM, I know the feeling, especially the one of continuity... I am sat in front of puter in my jamas
blush.gif
It's half past bl@@dy 12!

I've managed to convince the OH that baby horse has to stay, though

so scrap the ad etc.

I've had rubbish 2 years really - now that is long distance...

Here, have a hug (((())))

N - ta for hugs
smile.gif

AM - ta, I'm onto the crisps now
blush.gif
. I did have someone who could ride her, but moved yards so not now an option. Everyone wants to school her, which I don't want, I'd just want her hacked out, plus, and this is going to sound like I think I'm the best rider in the world (roflao at the thought), she can be a bit of a stinker and I worry that someone will get hurt
blush.gif
It's a long way to fall!

As to Little Lad, ad stayed as was: there was a fairly equal split in peoples opinions, and then hubby said he'd rather we were up front so's no-one got a nasty surprise. Needless to say, no calls so far
wink.gif
but there are some more places I can advertise so fingers crossed
cool.gif
.

I have the same problem with Nixon - its a dumb - blood thing!!
a050.gif
Even my instructor (who doesn't generally swear) called him and @rse last night!! Took 50 mins of hard work and fighting and napping and general arsiness to get him to listen and he still didn't manage a walk and trot test......

Knitting is looking tempting......

M - ta for hug. Well done on the convincing of the hubby. You had more luck than me! LL still has to go
frown.gif
. I've had the very kind offer of very reasonable grass livery, to which hubby said 'But he can't live on grass livery, he's laminitc!' - I pointed out that the person in question has forgotten more about horses than I've ever learnt and that he'd be fine, but hubby still wants him Gone type gone; the loan option is one I'm holding onto. Ho hum.

Yes, keeping baby horse argument was very clever on my part, I have it a bit easier though, I suppose, as OH accepts that I need an up and coming youngster.... so, I said that I'm not going to get sensible money for her as the market is cr@p and then next year won't be able to buy anything half as good as her for the money I get for her
wink.gif
It seems to have worked...
LL though is a bit little isn't he? Well, maybe nobody will want him...
blush.gif
cool.gif

Oh yes, if LL had a use as it were then it wouldn't be a problem; if we had our own land it wouldn't be a problem.

It's the fact that daughter and I have our own neds and LL doesn't fit a niche now that we've found out he won't really jump to any level and Games just confuse him. He's a happy hacker, or a flat work pony, or maybe a jumper if someone had the time and ability to put in the effort and the patience needed to show him that his saddle isn't going to hurt him any more.

Very well done on your argument
grin.gif
.

And I'm still sat on the sofa and the day is over half gone
blush.gif

Ta m'duck. Have replied
grin.gif
.

Will go and shake a leg and get dressed and get going, but if it's humid out there I'm coming right back in! It's cool in this house
grin.gif
. My car has air con but hubby's hasn't (don't ask) and hubby no like driving my car
frown.gif

If the dratted LL wasn't in a stable then I could go later just to check on them (they're all having the day off, as is daughter, she's ridden so many times this week she needs a break
blush.gif
).

Personally i would say arse bum willy feck to all of it, and have another glass of wine and a jaffa cake. i would then ask an obliging friend to ride said horse a couple of times a week to keep it ticking over.

Slinks - next time you ride, it will be bril
grin.gif

T n D - Friend has less time than I do (but more working parts lol). Have considered asking others, but the Dizz is a bit of a prat and I'm loath to have anyone hurt themselves
blush.gif
Lol at that, makes me sound like I'm a bril rider (roflao), I'm not, but she's my horse and I'm used to her and her interesting ways
e010.gif

There is an instructor I'd ask, but I can't afford her at the moment
blush.gif

Hey Mrs M, Long time it has been eh? Nearly two weeks.....wow
grin.gif
. What happened to arm? Any hoo, hows about you just having a water fight, or doing a rain dance (what I have been doing for weeks now and not been working, grr). I am presuming that arm is what is holding back the Dizzy's excercise. sending you vibes for your arm and be nice vibes to the Dizzy >
smile.gif

Thought it had been quiet
a040.gif
.

We slipped on the road, at a walk
blush.gif
cool.gif
. Didn't know it was broked for a week (though did scream when moved it the wrong way one day
k060.gif
.

Dizz is just being Dizz - big, young, and, well, was going to say 'blonde' but didn't want to sound insulting
a020.gif

Oh poor you...and I am the first to use the old blonde excuse, so no offence taken, abuse away. Woah, v impressed you left it a week, that's mad skills
grin.gif
tongue.gif
. I would off been woosing, so v impressed at your pain levels. Glad you noticed I was absent.

Lol to pain levels, mine is so low it's practically subterranean
blush.gif
. I think the swelling was numbing the nerves
cool.gif
, plus it has a sqaure chip missing and there is a crack that starts at the end and heads inwards down the bone - that's what makes me scared of bashing it again, I don't fancy an op. to stick it all back together
