I have just wormed 3 ponies in 3 minutes, no mess, no fuss, 3 happy ponies thinking they've had extra treats

I'm very impressed and would thoroughly recommend them to anyone!

You dont happen to know how long the expiry is on them do you?? I would only use 1 tablet each on my minis so wasnt sure whether it would be worth buying if i had to throw them soon after!!

Ahh well that's the idea, they actually advertise the fact that you can put the lid back on and it's good for another 12 months.

I don't think they kill the encysted red worm larvae that you are mean't to be worming for at this time of year (I think I've got that right?!) so i didn't try them this time round but will definitely use them next time as I have a pony who would rather kill you than have a syringe in his mouth! I was worried that he would suss what I was doing, or smell the drug in them, but yours just took them? Sounds good, I'll have a go. Thanks.

Someone at my yard used them. She'd just bought a colt and he had pretty bad worms. The tablets didn't really do much. I prefer to mix equest and equest pramox in feeds.

I was thinking the same were using equest pramox at the moment.

It would depend on what worm she was trying to deal with. The tablets are just the same wormer but in a solid form so will be just as effective as the powder or syringe form.

I used them, one horse ate them and asked for more. The other two turned up their noses so I crushed with polos and put on food.

Still less traumatic (for me and them) than paste. Going to worm count to see how effective it is.

see, my mate has a shire who is not the easiest to worm.. the problem? She hates and i mean HATES the taste of apples...

StrongidP carmel was good for her...

You dont here much of Strongid P any more do ya?

All the ones on my yard have been wormed with these. A few of us found it very difficult to get the horses to eat them.

Caused a lot more hassle than I expected!

I was told that the trial work for this wormer showed a 50:50 uptake, so not every horse is going to like the tablets! I also didn't realise that you need 1 tablet per 100kg of horse.....that's a lot of tablets for a big horse!!!

My 2 loved these and i am sure for most horse owners these will make life much easier well at least for half the year anyway. But i am a fan of Equest and Pramox and find them very easy to use... lucky i guess mine are easy to do

I'm pretty sure Equimax is for tapeworms (and general worms) but not for encysted small redworms. Different wormers kill different things. Would be good if the companies would make some tablets for killing other types of worms too.

im glad ive seen this thread. i bought equimax paste today but the lady at the counter was trying to get me to buy the tablets. i said i thought i might have problems getting the tablets down mine so would be a waste of money, but she was adament that all the people she had sold them to had no problems feeding them. i got the placebo ones to try first but havent tried them yet.

Humph. My two love food too and sniffed the tablets suspiciously and told me that i was trying to poison them! I had to hide them in their feed! Still easier than a syringe. This product won't do encysted small red worm. Does tape and round worms etc.
