Firstly i would like to thank all of you that read the 1st edition, i wasn't expecting such a large number of people to read it at all.

I'd like to extend a large thank-you to all those people that posted encouraging and supportive replies. Thank-you.

To all of you that posted negative replies i am sorry you feel so cynical. There were understandably some comments regarding my credentials. I have some very good credentials as an assistant rider/groom and have produced horses and competed at HOYS. I felt that if anybody was interested they would have contacted me regarding my experience, i didn't feel the need to give the whole forum my CV!

I am a young lady that has worked her way up from poo shovelling to becoming a rider - and all of this through hard work and my commitment to my job - with no hand-outs from anybody. I am now trying to set up by myself, and yes i am willing to produce other horses. I understand that top showing people have a proven track record, however everybody has to start somewhere.

I may not have been successful in finding an owner for my beautiful Lily, but i have found 2 welsh mountain ponies to produce for this coming season. one is for M&M Lead Rein and the other M&M Working Hunter.

Again i would just like to Thank everybody for their comments it has given me a valuable insight into the equine world.

I wish everybody all the best in whatever they choose to do.

Well done you have some clients, I recall your first post and winced at bit at the heading...
It sounded rather mercenary as if the person needed was purely for their money, although I know you did say they would get fun out of the deal.
My daughter has aquired a few horses to school merely by putting up a few good ads in local tack shops/feed stores etc, we ask the people over when they ring, they watch her ride and usually bring their horse for a week then weask them to come and see the progress. Once they have ridden/watched etc they tend to leave them longer.
Get some really good pics of yourself, make an ad then laminate it so it looks professional and doesn't go tatty, and you should find some more clients.
Just think before you put wealthy people wanted, it grates a bit I'm afraid!

I was one of those that said "good luck" but I did question your credentials as you simply said that you were an apprentice rider for a showing yard - surely it would have been beneficial in the initial post to state that you had ridden at HOYS

I also suggested that as you were so smitten with the mare that you ensure she went to a brilliant home by contacting all of the top showing yards and ensuring they knew of her sale

Anyway, I am glad you have found some horses to bring on and I wish you every success for the future

Congratulations!
I hope it works out well for you!

Hey guys give this girl a break, I'm sure when you are all desperate for something your words might come out wrong?

(p.s. I think people that are rude enough to say you were'nt bought up properly are being slightly contradictory?!?)
