Hello, I've looked over this forum a few times, but now I'm looking for a pony for my 13/14 year old daughter! Oh the joys of horse hunting!
I promised her once the weather cleared up I would buy her a pony and the weather becomes sunny for one day but she definetly remembered and woke up looked outside at the sun and ran to tell me!
I wish she was this keen to walk the dogs or do odd housework!
Anyway she has had a few loan ponies ranging from 12hh to 15hh all different breeds, her longest one was a welsh x arab at 13.2hh which would race everywhere at 100mph giving me a heart attack every time she got on!
I've had a fair few horses and ponies in my lifetime, but gave up after not being able to juggle babies and ponies unfortunately. But anyway, she seems very keen on this pony:

What do you think?
Thanks for reading even though I rambled on then after 10 minutes asked a simple question! :p

hi

looks likes a lovely pony.honest looking type.shame theres not side on pics so can see conformation better but looks to be good from the vid and pic.good luck in your pony search.

Hello and welcome to the forum :)

If she is 13/14 you might be better off getting her something definatly under 14.2 or she may be out of some classes.
But other than that, he definatly looks like he can jump but by that picture he looks like he has a very short neck which may put her back if she wants to do dressage.
Also as he is at stoner he is being ridden a couple of hours a day and doing hard work, if you do get him and he doesn't do this amount of work they can become very quirky and wound up. Some of them are fine but it will be like buying a horse from a proffesional yard.

What does your daughter plan to do?
Best of luck horse hunting though and if I see something will send it your way :)

Looks like fun, but no mention of affiliated winnings, so a bit on the expensive side I think. Also, over height for pony BS jumping, so, again, expensive for a 'fun' pony.

Thank you all!
I agree at the over price as he looks a nice jumper but isn't affiliated!
A friend of daughters has just put her off him though (as she knows the current owner), as she says hes recently been off work from rotated axis or something along those lines? I don't know what this is though?
But by the looks of it we will leave him and carry on hunting, and she wants to do a bit of everything really! She likes to hunt, show jump, pleasure rides so a bit of everything!

I have to disagree with this.....I honestly wouldnt get her anything smaller. Dont know what size your daughter is but shes liable to outgrow a smaller pony very quickly if she has a growth spurt! Iv also never heard of anything about shortnecked horses and dressage?! the best dressage horse at our yard happens to have a v short neck and he is fantastic.

If the sellars are being truthful in this ad, i would say he is worth his weight in gold- a super little contender by the sounds of it!.....AND tack & rugs???! providing they fit and are in decent condition, i would say uv found a bargain!!

i think the height isnt the issue, plenty of 14.3hh mesure at 148cm for BS. and also, as the person above said, she will probably grow out of a smaller pony much too quickly. anyway, at her age, she should be looking at the 148cm. i like him personally. but you could get the same with a BS record for just a bit more. and as for having a short neck, my old welsh had a fat short neck but still pulled off a decent dressage test lol.

welcome by the way :D

He looks ace :D Horses in the south west are pretty expensive at the moment, so I feel that he is fairly priced, though I would make an offer of £3.5k!

Just some words of wisdom... Don't trust anybody!! I know it sounds awful, but don't take what the owner says for granted, even if they seem lovely!

I really like him, he's in the same area as me too, and i think that is the general price around here, it does ONO so could offer 3700 or soemthing? I think your child would have a lot of fun on him (:
good luck in your search

Hello and welcome :)
I know the owner and the pony has a heart of gold! And he is perfect after the roated axis! He is also very cute and im sure the owner will send u pics of him :) Im not just saying this cos i know the owner but he is such a good pony and loves the fun and is a brilliant all rounder ;) Best of luck with your horse hunting!

This is my friends pony :D
he is fantastic, if i had the money i would get him she has come miles on him since going to stonar school!
he tries his little heart out with everything, he has had a rotated axis, but if im honest its because he was always put over the bit.
but he recovered quickly and is now jumping fine again.
if you search hannah hudson on facebook there is alot more photos of him on there!
Grab him quickly before someone gets the fantastic pony, as loads of people are interested already , and he would make your daughter very happy(:
