I'm not going to sleep tonight!

I am ridiculously excited! I had a pony vetted today and he passed with flying colours. He is arriving tomorrow. I'm now sat here writing a shopping list for tomorrow morning as he is my first pony so I need to buy things like a headcollar! I popped into a tack shop for 5 minutes on the way home and very nearly cried at the thought of actually buying stuff for my own pony!

Hopefully I can take some piccies this weekend, he is a gorgeous 13.2hh fell pony, 4 and a half years old, very sweet natured (was a star for the vet today) and a bit of a blank canvas to play with. I really hope he travels ok tomorrow and he remains as sweet to deal with. I'm so excited! Not sure I'll sleep much tonight!

That's fantastic!! I'm 15 and got my first horse last April, I went to a riding school for 4years and loaned since then so I know how you feel!! It's the best isn't it

Many congratulations! I still remember the excitement of the initial time with my first horse! You will become a complete horse-bore, you know!!!

And also we'd better warn you about the phenomenon known as "Horse-time" when "I'm just popping to the yard for half an hour" means you won't actually be home again for about three!!!
