...have you seen the price of them!!!

I've just had a quick look round the usual websites and I cant believe the prices! I would say they are at least 1.5 - 2k up from half a year ago. Whats that all about? I know we are now in summer but still!

the money has got silly imho - it has got to come down. I was looking at ads for 13.2hhs for my daughter, and honestly, I wondered what they were on, I was glancing down at the price, then looking back for the BSJA winnings, breeding, or SOMETHING ... only to find, bog standard family pony! Well I've got one of those I was planning on selling for about a quarter of that money!

Skewbald_again - totally agree with you! I've just looked at 16hh+ adverts and people are asking for over 6/7k for 'average' horses who have done next to nothing!

If you ask a realistic price then horses will sell, trouble is, no-one trusts a reasonably priced horse and thinks there is something wrong with it. Buyers are their own worst enemies at times and some sellers are just plain greedy.

I am selling registered, well broken (large pony/small horse) 4 and 5 year olds for between $1500-$2000 and I'm not losing money on them by any means, I keep them from a few days to a few months- depends how long they need, I don't ask silly money for nice, sensible, useful all rounders and I have a waiting list.
