Good luck. I get horrendously nervous going and trying horses! I'm terrified I'll ask a stupid question or forget to ask anything at all. And the thought of riding in front on people!! Well, I just feel sick at the thought!

And I wonder why I've never competed...

i might just watch ha.
theres bound to be a gathering watching how the viewing goes.
yep i dont compete either !!

Good luck, hope you get on really well. I never thought about falling off when I viewed horses - but then I was only viewing 'suitable for novice' types.

I fell off when I went to view a horse 'suitable for a nervous novice'. I was so embarassed! But my lovely daughter just said to me
'Don't worry Mum, it's not as if we ever have to see those people again'
And that made me smile and everything didn't seem so bad then (apart from being totally orange from the sand in the school)!
Oh, and I saw a much nicer horse which I went on to buy in the afternoon!

Gosh I know what you all meen about being watched:
I went to try a horse for a friend, the horse was 17.1 and I am about 5"3!! Anyway I rode him around abit in a school very concious of my riding after being outof practice. Next thing I know there are about 40 children watching me!!! It was a riding school and they were all watching me:S

It was one of the most terrifying experiences of my life!!
