My little mare had a stillborn last year, which is still really upsetting. Anyhow,I put her to a very small stallion this year.....she was well covered before returning home to me.

I had her blood tested at 49 days.....and the results have come back negative. How accurate are they?? She has shown no signs of coming back into season and her belly has dropped already (admittadly she is out at grass with my other mares). She is behaving differently....isolating herself and generally being a bit more bad tempered. I haven't seen any movement in belly......but then again I haven't looked for it either.

I really am upset as I bought her to breed from and I seem too be having the most awful bad luck.

I am considering selling her as she will be wasted with me for another year and she is only 9. But what if it turns out she IS in foal......vet is reluctant to internal scan her as she is only small.....12hh.

What would you do????

Also in breeding.
