IM really embarrassed

I have just bought a hanging cheek french link snaffle.

But im, a bit confused i have never ever used one before or seen one in use.

But im sure you attach the cheek peaces to the small round hole?

The only reason im questioning this is because if i did that the writing and bit size is upside down.

Please dont judge me on this as i would like to know before i go and put it on wrong.

so do i attach to the small round circle or the d bit.

please im really embarrassed about this as Ive been riding for 17 years but just know nothing about bits.

when i bought that bit i wasnt too sure either!! good job I did put it the right way then

they is a girl at the yard who rides her horse with the bit the other way up mind

Don't be embarrassed.....I have actually seen a couple of people riding with it the other way up.......it kinda looks like a gag......very odd!

but it's better you asked on here then went out with the bit upside down!!! you would have looked a bit of a prat

dont feel bad- i went to try a nag last month who had his pelham in upside down. Needless to say he did not come home with me!!!! the guy was too arrogant and cocky and shot down all my sensible horsey questions then put the bit in wrong- how we laughed!!!! (at home with my bf- i was too scared of the guy to point it out there!!!)
