3 months ago I fell off left & got my right foot caught in the stirrup, end result a badly fractured & dislocated ankle, an operation, plates pins & 6 weeks in plaster. Today my friend & I took my pony to a lovely sj show, we both did a clear round clear, then I got double clear in my class, I was so excited, not placed as not quick enough in the jump off, my ankle was killing me (it still doesn't bend properly), but by my jump off the whole thing felt great. Just had to share this, because "everyone" was convinced that I wouldn't be competing for a long time, still got to be cautious, falling on it wouldn't be good, but I really am chuffed with ponio & me!!

Very well done no wonder you are sooo happy but,,,,,

Look after it, it is never worth doing too much and risking it causing you problems for the rest of your life. It is great that you are so enthusiastic but just go steady. (Oh my gawd, do I sound like your Mother or something)?

Thank you thank you, got dressage next weekend, a little more sedate N33 test. We do show jumping lessons with Paul Crago, he told me last weekend to stop faffing about & get on with it, as he built some kind of poo making oxer!! He should know how it feels, he broke his ankle a month after me, but apparently I should just "make it bend". We did jump that oxer well though, though probably good that no member of my family was present!!!
