I was on arabianlines earlier and asked for help in working out the crabbet percentage in our arabian gelding's pedigree. It transpires (big word!!) that he is 100 per cent pure old english and 96.29 crabbet. I can't understand why he was gelded at 15 years old, unless he was infertile. Which makes me wonder why they waited so long to geld him. Any thoughts anyone?

they most certainly are

I have one too. Both mine have been Nashend breeding but my present one is 15.1Hh. Fantastic pedigree but too big. It does make him a wonderful weight carrier for the large and tall rider and hes so gentle too. I've had him since he was two, he's now 15 and still bucks for England when he gets excited. (every time he goes out)
