With all the morbid posts and depressing reading on the forum lately I thought I'd tell you all what the horrid one did today.
I've been worried sick for days as I had a farrior coming up to do his feet. Last time his feet where done I wasn't there. I arrived just after it had been done and the farriors where boasting about how they had to twitch him and pin him down and how they had hit him so hard they had hurt themselfs. :( :( :mad: :mad:
I know he can be a pain to do but I realy think that was all abit unnesessery and especialy with herbs who will take you on if you are agressive to him. If I had been there I would have put a stop to it at once.
Anyway the other week I found the card for a lady farrior so though I would give her a go. Maybe herbie needs a nice gentle woman to shoe him.
The farrior arrived and introduced herself to Herbs. He lookes so relaxed infact he looked half asleep. She then trimed all four of his feet :eek: He was so good and didn't argue once. The farrior was so quiet and just kept reassuring him it was all ok. :D She realy likes him and I don't think she could see why he is called Horrid :p :D She even said she would be happy to come out and do him again :eek: :eek: :D :D
Thats it I just wanted to share how good Herbs was and how we've made another huge step forwards to having a nice sweet little pony. I'm just so proud of my little man. :D

He can still be horrid. The dentist was here to do another horses teeth and Herbs bit her. :( I think someone had been feeeding him treats though. Thats the next thing with him. He needs his teeth done but i'm saving that for another day. The dentist did try to look at his teeth today but there was alot of noise in the yard as someone was doing some work on the stables and it upset herbs and he just spun round and threatened to kick her :( But atleast he was good for the farrior. :D The dentest said she would try again on a quiet day. :)
 
That is super news! I know how pleasing it can be - the last time the farrier shod Belle, he said that he always dreaded doing it before because she could be difficult but now he looked forward to it because she has calmed down. :)

I think Belle would fall in love with Herbie if she saw him, she likes the little boys best and he's very handsome. :D
 
Great news Laura. Just so you know, its spelt farrier.

I'm also for getting rid of the horrid seeing as he's being so nice most of the time!
