I am so proud of my 8 month old filly!
I had decided in the last couple of weeks that I want to take my filly out to a couple of shows this year, so I am now busy practicing, so that she will be ready for it.
Yesterday I attempted loading her in the lorry for the first time - obviously quite an important part of going out to a show!!
Anyway, she is pretty good at leading now, so we got to the bottom of the ramp and she kinda stood there and looked at me and said "i don't like that look of that mum!". We eventually got front feet on the ramp, and then after a bit more we managed all 4 feet on the ramp! It took about 45 minutes to get her in that first time, but she just stood there and didn't do any jumping about, and didn't do any backing down the ramp, which was good.
I then took her back out of the lorry, and then we went back in and out of the lorry about 5 or 6 times. I then put her back in the lorry again this morning about 5 times, and also put the partition across and left her there for 5 minutes.
We also did some trotting up practice, and we managed to do a quite reasonable trot up as well.
She is such a little angel!! and so proud of her!!
