Dear AADers,

I will never leave you again!!!

I have just had the most awful comments on a thread on the horse related forums. Never again. Sick, sick comments. I am so angry.

Thank god for the dog forum, you guys understand!!!!
 
BSJAShowjumper - im alright, just shocked that someone could be so heartless. Shows what they're really like....

Cayla - No, about my poor Gracie who was poisoned. Check out the last few pages of the "someone put a plait in my horses mane" thread if you are interested. I have stopped reading it so god knows if it back on topic...


I am staying OFF the horse parts of the forum. AAD and Soapbox for me. People are crazy on the horse forums.
 
Put it out of your head Una. There are some real silly people on New Lounge - especially at the moment it seems! BSJAshowjumper can vouch for that -she gets loads of abuse regularly! It seems like this time of night, loads of problems kick off. If the thread goes over 40 posts it usually means that there is an arguement that is nothing to do with the original post going on. Today I've commented on the rudeness on a couple of threads and it hasn't gone in, They think they're better than everyone else. It makes you wonder who brought some of the brats up! I was seriously thinking of not bothering with the H&H forum anymore today...
 
I really felt for you when I read your post - there are some nasty hysterical peeps in NL whom common sense and good manners seem to have bypassed!

Stay in here - much nicer :-)
 
Its crazy what can happen when you post something as a bit of fun.

I will hide in here til it blows over, it will be someone else getting it tomorrow im sure.

Must admit I rarely venture in there, but did in this case just to see what was going on. :o

Must say, there is a certain poster in that thread that, as a psyche student, I would LOVE to get hold of for some good old qualitative research. So many possible personality disorders, so little time :p

I should let it slide and move on if I were you, if you appear upset, they will only get further 'excited'. Harder said than done I know! *hug* :)

Yeah, i've tried to avoid reacting to the comments that are only posted to get a reaction, clearly... But god, if someone said that to my face they'd regret it!!!!
 
I never open a post in there for fear of being shouted at! I have commented on a few but am largely ignored so I don't know why I bother tbh. I am a bit of a fraud in here though as I lost my dog a good few years back and due to work now have a cat who is very flexible - and long suffering neighbours who she "visits" (read sleeps on their Agas and demands food with menace;)) I just read that thread and really can't believe how nasty the comments are - just ignore the b"*@h and report the thread - hopefully the powers that be will take the appropriate action.
 
Im back and still alive :p that was really uncalled for, do people really have that rubbish lives that they have to start an arguement over a forum?! Madness!!

We arent nasty like that lot! All are welcome in here as long as they are dog friendly :D

I have reported the thread and individual posts and a lot of people have PMd me to say they've reported that person too so fingers crossed someone will shut her up!

I only got to page 8 the first time round - went back after your post and started to read the rest... Omigod, some people really need to get a life and the comments about your dog were particularly spiteful.

Anyway, I'm sure you'll be pleased to know the thread has now been pulled - was reading the rest and phit, it disappeared. Hopefully one very mean, sad, annoying, spiteful poster might disappear with it!

I'll be honest ... after reading some of the recent NL threads I considered buying a dog so I'd have an excuse to be in here!

"That" thread was completely beyond a joke, IMO, I read most of it and was surprised it didn't get pulled earlier!

Your thread has dissapeared! Some of those comments were completely un called for, that poster should be banned imo! unab-just ignore the comments,that poster is obvioulsy a nutter. xxx:)

Yay, thanks UnaB :D I've always wanted a dog but while I live with mum and dad there's no chance, unfortunately. Despite the fact I've looked after my horse myself since I was 16 without complaining, mum's still convinced I won't look after a dog :rolleyes:

It's extremely unlikely something like that would be said to your face for exactly that reason! Such people like that do not enjoy 'losing' or dealing with consequences and will pick fights accordingly. Unfortunately the internet is a prime area- no real consequence. It's best to just think of them as 'crazies', like the bloke we had in a recent seminar..... rang 999 cause of the stationary, bright light, in the air above the mountain where he lived in wales....

Of course that worrying, stationary light was the moon ;)

Different kind of crazy, but crazy nonetheless :p
 
Dont worry, its starting up again!!

Basically, i posted a thread, just for fun, saying that i'd found a big plait in my horses mane today - random!! Someone else mentioned it might be a theft warning or something. Then a certain member just started on at me about what an idiot I was for thinking it was a theft warning (id said i didnt think it was...!!). Then, in response to someone else i said about us havin warnings about how someone was trying to poison my Gracie that we didnt take too seriously, but they got at her, so i would be extra vigilant. So that certain nasty individual then started making nasty, disgusting comments about my Gracie being killed :(

At which point i left the thread.
