Well I must be 'cos I went to see my ISH horse in training today 80 miles from my home and discovered that the trainer had the low down on my new girl at home and how things were going:rolleyes: Turns out I was given the horse for nothing (must ask her last owner why I'm short some cash and why she felt flush the other month then) and I've also heard from another source that I cant ride to save myself;) so shouldn't have bought another horse.

I know where it's coming from the yard next door where equestrian experts such as the girl who joined this forum and explained about her recovery from the broken neck that no one locally can recall her sustaining ;) and the old bat owner must discuss my fascinating life. Turns out another woman I don't even know but always asks my husband about the horses and who uses next door for grazing has had to send a horse to the same trainer; possibly the reason for the spread of my interesting story way beyond my own village.

Refreshing to see that if enough people are nosing in your business then even in this modern age there is no need for twitter or facebook when horses are involved.

Anyway a summary update or my exciting story to date may assist those pressed for time. I'm old and fat and ride an old and fat pony we suit each other fine, I was sold a young horse last year and totally overhorsed , I realised that , admitted it and did the right thing by him and sent him to be retrained - he is doing fantastically. I never represent myself as anything I'm not, I'm too old and too wise to care or compete with anyone but myself and I'm enjoying my riding and having so much fun again that canter with a great big grin. I'm glad I'm so interesting to some but as you can see Charlotte D or Elllen W may be a tad more so to the majority:)

Anyway must shoot now I have to practise my autograph, start my blog and learn to deal with my new fans and keep them up to date:p

A glass of something nice for those who made it thu my roll eyes rant:D

And breathe! :D

Was that the girl who posted the thread where she'd broken her neck and apparently walked into the operating theatre in her dubarrys because she refused to take them off or something?

But we all want to be famous, look at the success of reality tv!? You just found out a short cut way of being well known. LOL...as long as it makes them happy and you can thumb your nose at them you'll be fine.

Some people have nothing better to do than make things up! Think how much more interesting your life must be than theirs if that's how they get their entertainment.

Relish it :D People gossip, give them something to gossip about.

For ages, there was a thing where people thought my sister and I were secretly adopted, because we call our mum Lilly (not her name). Someone on the yard eventually snuck up to us and asked in hushed tones about it!

Or how much we spent on Reggie. We bought a schoolmaster apparently, for mega bucks. I wish someone had told him of this, because he spent most of his time behaving like a freebie ex-racer :D

It has it's upsides this fame thing, I was quite bored with my life until today:D

Patterdale - not sure it's the same girl but I will look back on her posts:) put it this way, we have never met but I felt sorry about her inury and mentioned it to someone who knows her , the girl spat her coffee out and said no way. Hence why I'm thinking sort yourselves out before rehashing my mistakes.

Lol, great post :D It's amazing isn't it that people really feel the need....

I love that you don't care, are loving your riding with your horse, and that you're doing the right thing by your youngster - good for you :)

On a similar note, my groom was in a pub a few weeks ago, and some random bloke came up to her and asked where she worked. She told him and he said "oh god yes, I remember for her 21st her dad gave her £1million" WTF??! Not only is it not true, I have no bloomin idea who this man was, didn't recognise his name, and really didn't appreciate him spreading such rubbish - especially to my staff. Fortunately she knows me better than that and laughed it off, then came to tell me :p People will always gossip, make it up and spread it around; idiots!
