I'm surprising a friend and I need some computer help please!

Its my friend's birthday next week, and as a much wanted present I'm going to loan her my horse for a year, and wanted to alter a pic of him so that he has a big pink bow in his forelock, but for the life of me I can't work out how to do it. I've tried to find some clipart and insert it, but got nowhere.

I know its possible as I see pics on here all the time with graphics inserted etc. I work on a Mac so maybe that's why. But, can any of you clever people help me please? I need to alter the image so that I can get it made into the front of a birthday card for her.

Any takers, you clever girls?!

Ahh, thanks Jacksmum!

I've managed to do a very poor effect on a fab pic of them both so that'll have to do.

I'm the lucky one actually: this lovely girl worked for me up until about a month ago, and she loved this horse to pieces, and brought him on from gangly stiff ex racer a year ago to doing well at BE100, but under loads of family pressure she needed to go and pursue a 'proper career':p and not be a groom any longer.

She fortunately found a fab job at an equestrian centre doing their event management and now they've offered her a livery place so she was able to take a horse on loan. I haven't managed to find anyone to fill her shoes or to event him for me, and she's by far his best option of a great future, so off he goes, pink bow and all and hopefully they'll go on to great things together.

She's a very happy girl! And I'm a delighted owner! Happy happy happy! :D:D

Here's my best effort - it'll still make a nice card I think.
