I have no knowledge about doing this at all - advice please about how to do this (technically as IT illiterate!!!)
I'm thinking of starting a 1st time breeder blog.....

It appears to be as simple as create a log in and start Blogging. There is also an App to download if you use your phone a lot.
Alternatively, you could just use Facebook, with the privacy on the posts set to 'public'.
Word press will also share the links to your blog to your FB, if you wish.

I have used Wordpress and Blogger.
Blogger is probably slightly easier to use, but for some reason it doesn't agree with my iPad and I have trouble seeing what I've typed when the post gets so long.
