OH says this is the kind of horse he wants when we get him one.

I'd need a step ladder to reach his back!

Fella would love to have a playmate his size (or in this case, a couple of inches bigger!), when you are an 18.1 shire, you can't really rough play with shetties!

Can you imagine two giants 'playing'?

at the thought of a shire playing with a shettie. A friend of mine has Percherons and they share their paddock with a 30" mini and a mini donkey, SO funny to see them at the round bale side by side.

Holy moly. Can you imagine trying to find anything to fit him?!!

It looks as if they have had to cobble a girth extension as it is!

I'd love to ride something that big, just for fun, but as I get vertigo on a step ladder I'd have hysterics that high up.

Make the clydes we had and have at only 16.3 look very small. I do have some photos of Cairo grooming and playing with a mini shetland but he was the true gentle giant in all ways and would not have harmed anything.

i had this big lad staying at mine for 5 years. he's 18.2hh + and a star! He's been sold on now and i certainly notice the difference in the state of the fields and with the amount of hay i have left!! and all my fences that are still intact

. he was lovely tho, i absolutely loved taking him out for a hack.
my little sec a used to stand behind him to get out of the wind when the weather was bad!!

I have and 18HH ISH and competed against a 19hh Irish bred horse. It was a bit tight in the warm up when we were both in there but it was nice not to be the biggest for a change.
