My mare has ongoing sinus infections that we are having trouble getting on top of. She’s had lots of investigations and there doesn’t appear to be a cause for the infections.
It’s been suggested that a boost to her immune system might help her fight the infection. She’s currently on her 3rd lot of antibiotics.
Has anyone used anything that they think has made a difference?

Hi, sorry to hear this. I used to give my old TB a Global Herbs liquid supplement after antibiotics that seemed to help. I think it was called Restore. Might be worth a try? X

Echinacea is good for the immune system. Got rid of my boy's grass warts in a few weeks & made a big difference to another's cellulitis. He had 2 courses of ABs and it was still grumbling. Pretty much gone now. It's cheap, too...!

I've used restore for various things over the years it's good stuff, my horse had repeated guttural pouch infections and had quite a few different viruses and the vet said to feed aloe vera juice it's meant to be good for the immune system, I fed it for a few months and the infection didn't return until many years after.

I would also feed a vitamin and mineral supplement if you don't already I tend to use pro balance from progressive earth.

Another vote for Restore. I use it during coat changing season, just gives that extra boost when so much is going on under the surface.

Another vote for Echinacea. My boy had a few infections in a row quite a few years ago now so I gave him a course of this as an immune system booster and he didn’t get any more.
