I have heard Sarcoids can be a symptom of a deficient immune system. Apart from vaccinations could you recommend a good immune supplement to add to feed?
Thank you!

Global (amongst other herb suppliers) do one called Sarc-X. I used it on my youngster who had 11 suspect sarcoids when he arrived and the whole lot fell off within a few months :)
Naf (i think) do a detox thats good for kickstarting the system too.

I shall watch this thread with interest as my Dex appears to have mysteriously developed a serious autoimmune condition :(

Hi, there is Echifend which my horse had a few years ago. It was expensive as I remember, but hopefully that might have changed (for the better!). I cannot say whether it did him any good as it turned out to be a combination of a muscle disorder and allergic respiratory problems, not his immune system being deficient.

defently echinacea , it was recommend to me by my vet when my mare was ill and need to boost her immune system and it cheap you buy from holland and barretts

I used Emmune from Equine America with great success. My lady had a sarcoid for 3 years (unchanging) gave her a couple of courses of Emmune and it disappeared, never to return again ;) About £20 a bottle which lasts a month.

another one for sarc-ex. Did my boy wonders after is second round of Liverpool treatment, healed a lot quicker than the first lot.Touch wood, no more!!!!

i gave about 1 -2 capsulas a day in a little feed , i think you can get in in liquid to
it did help my mare was on dealths door , nearly lost her her immune system was so low ,she had "RHINOPNEUMONITIS know as rhino virus ,she pulled throw and is now out competeing

Hi Berkely,

Thanks for asking, my ID has continual issues with one thing and another! he now has photosensitivity and has to come in during the sunny days and his tendon boots took the skin off the front of his shins as his system was low and they rubbed, crazy i know!

He sounds a mess but he is a handsome boy and full of go so have been advised to treat him as normal whilst i can!

Did you decide on a solution yet? I read the immuplus and it says its 4 times more effective than echinacea!
