My horse has had to go into surgery and will be there for the next 2-3 hours. They think his gut has become stuck between his kidney and spleen and that is why the blockage has not been able to come out. They need to get it back into place then empty out the blockage, main risk is tearing the fragile and swollen gut.
Hoping and praying over the next few hours that he makes it through. Please send us to good vibes!!

I hope everything goes well in the operation

thinking of you.my sec d had emergency surgery for colic impaction. i had to drive her 2 hours down the a1 not knowing if we would get there. she was at newmarket and they were amazing. she made a good recovery came home after one week for box rest. she had a stomach full of staples and when she was allowed out on paddock rest jumped the fence. she went on to make a full recovery and never had another episode ,although i was always very anxious. hope all goes well. keep in touch

Hoping your boy is fine....my girl was in surgery for about 6 hours before they contacted me...some of that was bringing her round from the anaesthetic though...so try not to worry if you don't hear for a while.
Ask your vet if you can watch? That would have helped me...and apparently my vets have a 'viewing room' but I didn't know about it til afterwards.
