Hello all. I'm importing my new horse from Spain next month and going through the checklist of everything we need to do / sort / buy before he comes over. One thing I'm not sure about is whether to have him vaccinated there, or wait until he's here?
There's no record in his passport so I'll need to do the full vaccinations from scratch. I'd prefer to have them done in Spain so he's protected when he travels, but have a couple of niggling concerns. Firstly, are the vaccines (esp. flu) the same in Spain and UK, or will they be for different strains? Secondly, do UK vets or associations require a full vaccination record from this country?
If anyone has any knowledge on this, or can suggest who's best to ask, I'd be grateful!!!
