Morning folks
Is there anyone who has recently imported horses to the UK, or someone that does it on a regular basis that can help answer a question please.
With regards to TRACES, As I’m an owner (and not a regular exporter/importer) and I’m just simply returning to the UK with her horses, do I need to have an TRACES account. Or do I leave that all to the transporter and Vet to do?
I’d emailed TRACES to ask and they replied that “the question was outside of their remit and to contact the relevant authorities”, so I’m a bit lost. im Just trying to understand the process, to make sure nothing holds things up, when it’s time to go. I can obviously also check with the transporter but I just thought someone on here will know for sure.
We are sorted with import/VAT, etc but it’s just the TRACES side of it (amongst a ton of things in a foreign language here I’m trying to sort out).
