I've been looking for a while for a couple of nice cob geldings, 15hh+, unbroken, 2-5 years, any colour or type...and not had much joy in the UK. The only unbroken ones I've come across which are anywhere near me (Kent) are generally pretty poor stock.

So...whilst I will keep looking in the South East, I am now looking to Ireland - I've spoken to a couple of breeders/dealers who import but I've never done this before so would love to hear about others who have experience/recommendations!

Buying unseen - most dealers seem to offer an exchange if they're not as described? obviously for unbroken youngsters this really just covers them being healthy and sound!

Price - as I'm a private buyer and not a dealer or riding school, I imagine I'll get given the higher price! Any ideas on what I should be paying for the above horses? And are they open to negotiation or firm on price?

Any favourite importers/dealers? Or ones to avoid..!

Thanks!
