Impossible? Getting hair off a fleece....

Does anyone have any helpful ideas of how to get a hair off a fleece rug please?
I stupidly put it on a moulting horse, who wasn't clipped, and you can imagine the result. I no longer have the horse, and am sorting though things to sell that don't fit my smaller one, and it's much too nice to bin, but way too hairy to sell!!
Rug is black, horse was chestnut, so you can imagine the result!

Please don't say 'wash it' as I've only recently had to have the repair man out to extract a huge clump of horse hair that blocked the machine up..... oops.

Pin it down on the floor (or use feet) and vacuum it. Being an animal family we have a dirty hoover!

You can buy a roller thing in most s/mrkts for this, be a long time with a roll of sellotape, parcel tape is better, but still long term.

I have a thing called a carPET for cleaning hair of stuff. It is very very good. I use it for carpets, sofas and rugs. I got it off eBay.

Buy yourself a pet brush, the sort made of fine wire that are slightly hooked. Very good at getting hair out.

Grooming stones are good for dislodging hair from fabric - also great for dog hairs in the back of the car!

Thanks all - will check all of these out! With a 6" rug that is coated inside and out, it will be a long job.......

Wash it inside an old duvet cover, then any remaining wet hair will come off easily (and your washer will survive!)

I use a lint roller, have them very effective!

Was going to say get one of these I use it to clean the velcro on horse items and it is brilliant, I am sure it would clean a fleece rug of hair.
