Hi all,
Have posted something bout this before...
My mare will not canter in the arena its walk trot or nada!
we are very lucky to have amazing hacking on our doorstep and we canter fine out there!
The arena is a good size so she has enough space, other people have tried cantering her and we get the normal a few strides but just cannot keep it!
When trying to canter her in the school ive noticed she is a little un-balanced, i was thinking maybe lunging her to improve her balance and get her listening more from those trot/canter transitions? do you think that would help? does anyone have any experiences?
Shes had a very easy few months of hacking walk/trot/canter she is sucha happy pony in the woods but with the showing season ahead of us (something that we've never looked at before!) We must shape up on our schooling (thats me aswel!) juts incase we do pop across the road to a local show
Thank you
