Anyone any good feed recommendations for improving / maintaining condition and weight gain throughout the winter?

He's not the type to get fizzy and a bit more oOOmph would be ok.

I feed my veteran mare Alfa Beet, oil and micronised barley - that seems to work the best to keep the weight on her, obviously alongside plenty of good quality hay/haylage.

If you ring one of the feed companies they will give you advise FOC

jay is hard to keep weight on, i feed barley rings, alpha a , showshine chaff , BOSS & speedi beet, he looks fab on this.

Alpha Oil is also great, my cob got a little weedy throughout the summer and it didn't take long to notice the difference!

If your horse is happy on his current feed maybe just try adding soya oil. Its like thick glupy fat and is none heating when not fed in excess. Its great for weight maintanance and super for condition. I swear by it.
