well i was thinking about getting some, as i wanted something a bit softer and rounder...but i saw them and they were actually much longer than i was expecting- so i ended up getting some v small and rounded sprengers...however horse that mark easily will probably benefit!
Wore mine SAt for jumping at home on the flat no difference however her jump I would say she has more ping/ spring than normal. Can't really say if it was the spurs or she's all of a sudden grown in confidence
Sorry I should have added that the reason I was thinking of getting them is he does mark easily. I also wanted something a bit softer for jumping. I usually use normal spurs which I think are about 15mm long with a blunt edge.
Love them, wont use anything else now for jumping. My boy goes better in them than any others. I found the round ended Sprengers can still mark them....
Problem with Impulse spurs is that they are really long which means they come in to play too easily despite the soft end. I use 15mm Mark Todd Bobble End spurs on my thin-skinned TB and he is great in them as they only touch him when I really turn my toe out intentionally.
Def recommend them. My short bobble ended sprengers marked my boy so I tried the Impuls spurs and they've been great, he's quite a sensitive boy as well but doesn't object to them.
I got mine from Inchs saddlery, have a look at the web site www.inchs.com they're £16.95.
Thanks Rambo for the advice about WD40, mine are really squeeky so I'll give that a go
I have recently bought some as horse backs off xc - haven't noticed a huge difference but they haven't marked an otherwise sensitive horse. Tried normal spurs SJ and they sent him mad every time I landed over a fence
ive got them and they are great but i do agree with them being too long. they come into play too quickly so im going to save them for XC i think and get some bobble end 15mm ones for schooling
