Afternoon.

Musing ahead for next year, being that this year has been an ongoing, losing battle to keep rugs and masks on/intact, finding a spray/get that works and am allowed to put on them, and spending an absolute fortune on all of it to no avail, I stumbled across the Global Herbs Fly-Free supplement...
Anyone used it? I understand you introduce it gradually, but wondered if it actually works? Or if there are any other recommendations? I know some oily herbs can have an effect, do those of you who feed them notice this? And bonus points if it can also be fed to sheep!!

I used the Brinicombe Equine version a few years ago & it worked! Poor boy stunk to high heaven! Could smell it coming through his skin lol only problem it was tough going getting him to eat it so I reverted to sprays the following year.

I fed a Global Herbs supplement. I don’t recall the name but it was to deter flies. It smelled so disgustingly badly of dirty ashtrays it turned my stomach. The pony didn’t mind it at all though.

Have used Think Fly this year on sweet itch horse.
Absolutely stinks, but seems to have made a difference.
Still has a full mane, and only one small rubbed area.
Defo will try again next year, but starting to use it a bit sooner.

Probably Flyfree, that one stinks, as does Skratch!
