I am doing a working hunter and showing show next weekend and need a little advice on turnout etc.

I have only ever done WHP before so bare with me!

I have entered novice Intermediate WHP, ridden and in hand veteran

So for in hand - I was just going to wear my long boots/breeches/jacket basically my working hunter outfit (local show in an arena if this makes any difference!)

Do I use a flat hunter noseband for in hand? (horse is 15.2hh small hunter build) can add pic if needed

Will have to try and borrow one as don't have one - I use a plain grackle for WH

Is a plain snaffle best? I currently use NS trans angled lozenge full check but I'm in the process of changing bits - although he should be ok on the flat in a snaffle

Also will trim his feathers again/whiskers/plait/make him shiny!

Thanks

You need a plain flat hunter noseband for the ridden and in-hand veteran, whilst a grackle is totally acceptable for WH it isnt for the flat in-hand class.
