In Hand Hunter Type Pony

I am taking my 2yr old sec A to the Amateur Showing Champs in August and would like to do something a little different as well as her youngstock & M&M classes. There is an In Hand Huther Type Pony class open of ponies under 15hh of any age that are of hunter type. Ellie is a true little hunter type looking pony specially if plaited up.

Would I need to trim all her feather off (it is the last class of the season for her lol) and what tack would i show her in (she has been bitten and is very used to a bridle)

Any suggestions welcome
 
I'd be interested in in what people think a hunter pony is here... I have a trad cob and would like to put him in hunter classes but some have said he shouldn't be in them and others have said that a hunter is about substance and bone and being true weight carries...
 
To me, it should just be mini identical version of a true hunter type stamp.

So, no feather, trimmed up, spot on conformation, manners, turned out as a hunter etc etc. More bone and substance than a show pony obviously, but equally so, not too much substance to make them look cobby and stocky. It's choosing the balance right and personal preferance really.

Have a look on pleasure prints of the champions at Windsor this year to see what they looked like, or HOY's/RIHS/etc last year. :)
 
Plus, if you trim all the feathers off, rake/pull her tail and have the mane short enough to be plaited...you then aren't going to be correct for the M&M classes. So I don't really see how you could mix the two classes to enter.
 
As mentioned above it turns out that this class will be the last one of the season for her (unless she qual for championship on the last day as m&m (if as youngstock then can still show her plaited if i wanted) then i would rethink however I have approx 6hrs between classes so plenty of time to trim & plait up :)
