Showing aficionados... I'm hoping to aim my 3 year old NF x TB gelding at some in hand classes this year and would like to have a go at the NPS PB M&M class.

Has anyone done these and can point me in the direction of any photos showing turnout and also the standard of entries!?

Turnout wise, plaited, should his tail be pulled? I am assuming an in hand bridle rather than normal bridle due to his age. And for me is a hacking jacket ok with trousers (he's chestnut with 1 white hind sock so I'm not sure if pale or dark trousers are best...)??

Thank you in advance and pic of said youngster below!

I only know about plaited horse showing but see if you can find some photos from shows that had classes to give you an idea. I would say pale trousers for you.

He's very smart!
I haven't seen any of the classes but I would pull his tail and yes, I think pale trousers would look best.

Turn him out as a hunter - pulled & plaited, feathers trimmed etc. Plain inhand bridle, no fancy browband. Tweed jacket, shirt, tie, hat, gloves, trousers any colours other than black and decent boots to run in. I prefer a cheap metal tipped show cane for youngsters so they can nibble on the end of it if they get bored or anxious.

I would go for very dark brown trousers, to show up all his legs but otherwise agree with every word of Elf. Pale trousers are a nightmare to keep clean on a show ground;).
