In hand show hunter pony classes need help!!

Hi there,

I am thinking of showing my youngster who will be three in may, in the show hunter pony classes. He is 14.2 and does it matter what breed he is?

I was wondering what do I have to wear and what tack is suitable for him.

Any help would be great thank you

No doesn't matter about his breed.

Brown inhand bridle with snaffle and leather lead.
Tweed for you (with tie and hat), with dark trousers if he has light legs, and light trousers if he has dark legs

You need an in-hand bridle with snaffle or nylon bit and lead for pony . You need tweed jacket, shirt ,tie, gloves,cane, trousers,(straight legged cords are nice , Chino`s in beige or navy or moleskin if you can get them) Navy hat (we always use a velvet riding hat with yougsters) This is my daughter with our 3yr old 13hh showhunter pony.
