I have a pretty coloured 13hh pony who I have started showing in hand.

I currently take her in:
Condition and turnout
Veteran
Coloured class
Prettiest mare
Etc

What is the correct attire for all the above classes in hand. I see some ponies with a coloured browband and some without. I do have both a navy and tweed show jacket but I don't know when to wear which. I also have various ties with matching coloured browbands which have been given to me but I don't know which classes to use which browband.

Any help on this matter would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Sorry to hijack but I am just about to take my 3yo out to an in hand show for the experience and have no idea at all of what i need to wear and how she should be presented. Any help would be very much appreciated! :-)

For those classes it depends on what 'type' of coloured your pony is, if a cob/traditional/native then plain bridle and browband, if a dainty plaited pony then coloured browband and fancy stitched bridle. If 4years old + then show in a normal bridle, if a youngster show in a inhand bridle/filly slip.

Tweed jackets are correct for inhand, if coloured browband the tie to match, if plain browband then a subtle coloured tie.
