His folks, I may take my little fellow to jis first show this weekend, in hand coloured, 4 years an over. Its only a small local show aimed at novices, but I want to be as correct as possible. I plan to have his normal caveson bridle on, but do I just use reins over his head or should I use a lead rein? If I use a lead rein do I get one with chains at the end to attach to his bit, leather couplings or do I attach it to the nose band like ridden lead rein classes? Have done a google search but not much has come up.

Thankyou

Depends if it's a snaffle or a Pelham/double. If snaffle then I much prefer a leather lead and leather coupling, if double/Pelham then reins.
