Hi, going to dip my toe into the showing world this summer and was after some advice on what to wear! I'll be doing in-hand coloured and hunter/riding horse-type classes (she's a 16hh TB x Welsh skewbald) in low key events, but want to make sure I don't make any big clangers!!! :-)

Any other turn out tips and advice greatly received - human and horse.......

Thanks :-)

For the handler: Tweed jacket, shirt and tie with tie pin, smart trousers (light if your horse has dark legs and dark if light legs but not black), smart boots that you can run in, hair in bun and hairnet with a hat (riding hat or trilby type hat), and brown gloves and cane.

For the Horse: if they are 4 and over use a hunter bridle with flat noseband and a pelham with the reins taken over the head, for riding horse they need a velvet browband but for hunters they need a plain flat leather browband.
