...I have found

3 squashed Fosters cans
1 squashed pop bottle
1 flip flop

.....and last night......a sock:confused:

The hay itself is lovely....but gawd only knows which field it came from. I'm almost worried to continue ......possibly tonight I shall unwind another layer and find a foot/leg/tramp/family on a camping holiday.....:p:D

when we were baling in one of our fields....we found a pram after the mower had gone over it and tottally trashed it and broke the mower! ooops

I found a lambs leg in a small bale of hay once. They use the heston bales at my yard now but so far they have all been perfectly clean and rubbish free.

LOL - sounds like it came from a field in Glastonbury! Perhaps you will find a hippie all rolled up and fast asleep in there waiting for the summer of love....

Love it! Made me laugh out loud!!:D

We got a half empty potnoodle once :)
Coke cans are a regular finding, though. I think the lad who does the baling chucks them out the tractor as he goes along!

One of the reasons why I switched to haylage this year, was because during last years hay shortage, our hay yards supplier ended up bringing us some really awful stuff full of rubbish; plastics, metals, food packagings, and when you soaked some of the bales an oily residue came out of the water!

Funnily enough, my French bale this time contains enough wood to keep the fire going for a while, must have been a branch fallen and not picked up, and a piece of black plastic. No complaints from me though, the hay is good and is very scarce this year.

One of the yards I once worked on I would find golf clubs, cans etc, all pretty normal stuff....then opened a bale once to an vile smell.....there was a family of rabbits slowly decomposing....hmmmmmmmm!!!!
I did find a mummified rat in the middle of a bag of chaff recently - I had a couple of words to say about that!!

I've once found a child's dolly in one.. all random patches of hair and a charred face.. was like something out a horror film!

lovely pair or lime green rim specs. Tried them on and they look fab, shame one lense is missing. blllommmin elll wonder where that went !

These are brilliant in making me laugh but no so cos it's damn dangerous...do you all shake your hay out to put into nets or on floor?...

I have had a door bell, packet of crisps was a usual one, rabbit foot.plastic bottles and some metal wire...all very odd!
