Lets just say he is a friend (a bit more than that but its complicated...)
is an assistant manager at the yard.
I used to work there, he has asked me to write a statement to say that I have witnessed the manager yell at him
I have indeed witnessed her yell at him, but dont want to get dragged into it.

She yelled at him to yell at me because I didnt give a horse some water when i turned it out; I was relatively new and the fields near that horse all had water troughs in, i didnt see a bucket so assumed the horse had some.

Anyway, he spoke to the NVQ lady today and she said that the manager would never know who wrote the statement, and doesnt need to know it ever exists

Now I need some help on whether i write one or not

I left work because it got too hard work and i couldnt do my a levels

The owner of the yard wanted to keep me on the books so i could work occasionally if its an emergency, however the manager got arsey and sent off for my p45

Mum doesnt think the manager will be there much longer...

but shes got worse, and is so unpredictable; and had an arguement in the middle of the yard with another member of staff.

HELP, im only 16 so dont know alot about these things

so thanks

What does your mum think you should do?

If you don't want to get dragged into it then just refuse, your friend should understand your decision and respect it.

he has said i dont have to if i dont want to, and if i wont then its not a big deal...

i havent spoken to mum yet; im trying to get all my info first....

This is incase he leaves the yard, (has 2 warnings) the NVQ lady will have the statement, as there is a waiting list to get placements elsewhere. and she needs to have it on record in case it happens to other people.
Hes not enjoyed work for a while now.

Urm... the only person i would be asking this advice from would be my mum and dad - they possibly will have a different take on things. I do not know which area you are in, or what your intended area of work may be.... but potentially you are becoming invloved in something that could end up in some type of tribunal and as much as it is not supposed to be true but oftenn it is a history like that can damage YOUR reputation and possibility of gaining a referance.
