In or out?

If your horse has some type of shelter, well rugged and is hardy and used to it then he'll be fine! Mine live out 24/7 and take no notice at all,but I suppose if I had brought them in,then they wouldn't be so acclimatised.

Yes he is and I wouldn't usually bother but just thought if he's just going to stand in a corner miserable he may just appreciate being spoilt for a night of fluffy bed and yummy hay?

If you bring him in tonight, then you may have to prepare yourself to bring him in for the next month! We're going to have a very wet March!

If he's managed all winter, then I would leave him out tbh. This is unless your preparing for early competing and need him in tip top condition.

Mine are just starting to drop weight now, which I have no problem with at all,Spring is only just round the corner and we'll all be moaning about laminitis and fatty horses then!!

a bit of pampering every now and again is ok I think

and unless he really minds being in then yeh why not let him dry off for the night!

either way I doubt he'll mind too much- just lets US sleep better knowing they are warm and dry when we hear the rain hammering outside

No it definitely would only be a one off as just been watching the weather and they've called it a partically nasty storm with hurricane winds and heavy persistent rain from 10pm tonight to 3pm sunday.

Funnily enough we have just been discussing this and decided that the two horses that are usually in during the day and out at night will stay in tonight as a one-off as although they are rugged there is not a lot of shelter.

However, the younger horses (5 year olds) that just come in for a few hours during the day will be going back out tonight. They do have access to big barns though.
