How many of you have your horses in?and how many out? i am the only one at the yard who still has thier horses out and im feeling peer pressure to bring them in. they do not really get ridden this time of year as im not keen in riding in the snow. one is in medium weight and other is very hairy! they were out all last year without any problems but am getting the feeling YO wants them in this year. any advice?

Do what you want they are YOUR horses. You pay the YO a service. Unless in your contract there is something that says you have to bring them in surely its down to you how you keep your horses?

Mine live out they are fine happy and alive :D

in :( as the ground is solid and rutty..... else she would be out :)

playing it day by day though and hope i can at elast stick her out for an hour a day!

My 2 retired ones are out - cob is naked (and has a coat about 3 inches long) and my girlie has a lightweighton but is toastie (though has a MW ready).

T'other one is in, as livery yard doesn't do winter turnout other than 2 hours max a day - he's fully clipped but goes out for his 2 hours in all weather.

Think it depends for you on yard rules - for us, the date they have to come in is posted in advance and them's the rules.
