Like most of us I've been guilty of having a winge about inconsiderate riders - particularly in warm up rings at shows - so wanted to post in praise of the riders at the clear round we went to today.
We were at Elms farm in lincs (the venue i last fell off Hovis) so he was very on his toes and snorting, prancing and generally being a bit of a prat. Hubby was riding him and in the warm up was a lady with a very green mare who was all over the place. Incidentally if it was you - you ride v v well!
Hubby and her agreed to keep out of each others way and yelled across if they were going to change reins etc. Another girl came in with her horse and again everyone communicated what they were going to do, jumped considerately and then gave encouragement to each other when they did the clear round. I was everyones fence builder and all did well.
All had either young, inexperienced or exciteable horses and there was not a hint of a problem.
If only all warm up rings were full of such considerate people I wouldn't be scared of them!
