In praise of the (horse)shoe fairy & other good things!

My horse lost a shoe on Monday. I phoned my farrier and left a message telling him I wouldn't be around Tues or Wed. I have just been to the horses and the farrier has been, caught my horse, put a new shoe on and turned him back out. I know when I ask him how much I owe him he will say "nothing". Mind you I did give him a Christmas tip. I really think he is the best farrier there is!

We're all moaning and groaning at the moment about the weather, dark nights etc. Let's hear any other good things that have happened today!

wow, what a legendary farrier!!
My good things - am in the middle of cleaning my tack (I love doing it!), pony was a love this morning and v sweet to do, and I have found the perfect brushing boots (lush caldene ones), but they don't do them in brown - doh!

My farrier couldn't come due to snow just before Christmas - but he came the Tuesday (bank holiday) after.
