I've always been a TB lover, but 2 years ago we were tempted by a little chestnut ID mare as a second horse for my daughter to have a bit of fun with. Well what a little champion she has turned out to be! In the top 10 at almost every EI event she has been to including 10th at her first 100 and 2nd at the last one this spring season. Equifestival WH Champion last year and Reserve Champion again this year. 6th in an incredibly strong ID Performance class at Balmoral and numerous other wins and placing at shows. She has such a can do attitude- but is also highly opinionated with a huge personality! If she is an example of the breed I'm converted!

Well I did go looking for a good robust Irish sort last time around. We havent reached your lofty heights - and very well done on those - but he's proven to be a little cracker so I'm a convert too.

Me too, I have an ID chestnut mare, I don't compete with her but she is a fab ride. Great character, very athletic and willing, I love her. Congrats on your success with yours!

With a 3/4 ID I concur. Best horse ever - huge heart, cheeky personality and great work ethic. Love him :-)

Congratulations , sounds like you have a cracker there ! My favourite combination, Mare + chestnut + ID, what else does anyone need ?

My ole girl is 3/4 ID, chestnut, and she has been a true family horse. Shes now retired off, but we have a full ID gelding for my daughter, he is amazing, and they are attempting there first BE in a couple of weeks. I have a 5 YO full ID grey mare ( was born chestnut), and shes proving to be a fab all rounder too.

The thing all mine share is the attitude, genuine , kind and will tried there heart out for you. welcome to the club !
