How much is 500g of Top Spec Feed Balancer in a purple feed scoop? Im guessing 1/4 mark??

500g of Top spec is about a pint from memory.
I took a 2 litre milk bottle and cut the bottom off - all i have left is the top down to the handle (keep the lid on). When i measure 450gs it comes to the bottom of the handle. Does that make any sense?
