Have just picked Ernie up from his winter holidays

he spent just over 2 months on a friends dairy farm.. although they are now dairy/sheep farmers, they have been very good with horses (eventers) in their time (now retired from horses)...

This time last year, we picked up a horse from his winter holiday with rainscald no weight on his bones and a crap long/thin dull coat... (wintered somewhere else)
This time, he's verging on fat

and has a thick glossy coat..
I can't believe what my pony looks like.. i've never seen him look soooooo well!!!

Can't wait to start work with him now!!!

He looks sooooo happy too

Errrr... Winter Holiday?? It's minus 2 outside! I could swear it's still the depths of winter! Poor lad, not much of a winter holiday!!

Bet he's glad to be home though, even if you're going to make him work!

Hehehe, he's been out since end of Sept.. so end of the season.. he did have a rug on, hence his coat looking ok

Well bearing in mind, that Ernie is poss. one of the uglest horses you'll ever lay eyes on...

He's looking stunning compaired to himself haha

Lol.. well his back legs are too long.. high withers, and ewe necked.. apart from that he's stunning!!!

I have taken pics.. but i really should be getting ready to meet the other HHO's at the pub tonight.. but it's so cold, i can't drag myself away from the kitchen/computer..
