My little 2yr old sec A is doing really well in inhand m+m classes and i would like to keep showing him throughout the winter but as im fairly new to the showing world just wondered what judges like to see. A true m+m type all shaggy and hairy as they would be if native or non winter coat ponies?

You would show a 2 year old unlipped, but if your doing to quite a high level you would rug up quite alot at home to try and keep the winter coat a bit tamed and better condition!! :)

They like them as fat as beef cattle, rugged and trimmed to within an inch of their lives......not a "natural state" at all, showing has ALOT to answer for concerning obesity and health problems, especially in youngstock classes - DISGUSTING.

Ive only shown an adult section A and she was fully clipped as I can't be doing with all that hair! Most youngsters were fairly hairy, a few had been rugged to within an inch of their lives but most hadn't. Tbh regardless of rugs on my pony she produces a two inch coat! :)
