Inappropriate whelping place

Poor lad, lost his girlfriend, hopefully now he has seen her he may be more settled tonight.
Those weights surprise me, I thought they would be bigger than that, they must really pile on the pounds as they grow.:D

Yes, both my chihuaha sized jack russells' puppies were a third the size of these puppies, yet they only weigh 2.5 kilos and the pyreneans weight over 50 kilos. So much harder for a small dog to give birth. I only bred them because so many people wanted a puppy due to their unusually small size for a jack russell. They only had 5 pups between them and I had seven buyers! But I would never breed them again as they were so small and one of them got eclamsia twice before the birth and twice afterwards. She was on a drip at the vets four times and cost us over £1000! We couldn't find a JR male small enough so used a chihuaha. At least they all have good homes. Two of them went to my parents so we see them every day.

congratulations on your litter. I was hoping to have a litter this year (borzoi) but in borzoi law Confuse Us says .....when owner wants season bitch waits until owner is about to get on plane for holiday!!! I will get her in the autumn :)

I agree about the mess, I hate the whelping bit, makes me feel really ill, I am not good with blood and gore. But when the are all dry and fluffy making little noises it is all worth it. Would love to see up dates :)

ohh Dad does look sad, missing his girlfriend - he needs a big big hug .... :) I would say send him in the post to me but I think he may need to come by courier in view of size ... :D

He is very handsome x

Thanks, yes he is very sad at the moment. Can't understand why his girlfriend suddenly doesn't want to know him. :( Usually they are are stuck together almost like glue. Where ever she lies down he goes and stands over the top of her! In three weeks time she will be starting to tire of the pups though and he will be allowed in with her again. At the moment though she keeps telling him off if he tries to go in, bless him.
