Inconsistent schooling.

Morning. Does any body out there find their horse can be somewhat inconsistent some times. I have weeks of my horse going really well schooling etc & I have a training session once a week. Then all of a sudden the horse will be a real wally and it will take me much of a session just to soften the horse to work properly. The horse knows exactly what he should be doing - flying changes, yielding etc, its almost like he says sorry im not doing what you are asking me to do today ! Horses ehh ! Nothing but trouble

ooohhhh yes!!! know exactly what you mean, in fact we can change by the minute!!

I think that we forget sometimes that they have brains too and sometimes they just don't want to do it, have the arse or just can not be bothered!!

Yes more than normal to have the odd day like that.

Yep can relate to that. Have a lesson works really well and I come away wearing a huge grin. Next day all goes back to being pants!

Just have to smile and go with it

Yes sometimes he works brilliantly, comes on in leaps and bounds and the next day it is like he has totally forgotten why I am sat on him let alone what anything I ask means. Numpty.
