Or is it? I am just washing my 5th dog bed of the day with big floods on it. It must be Sash but the fur around her rear end is dry, surely it would be wet if she was leaking? Vets tomorrow anyway, any suggestions for capture of urine sample?

One of my girlies (Button) has spay incontinence which is controlled with propalin.

She's doing really well at the moment but if she gets an infection she always loses control in her sleep. Her bedding is soaked but she is usually dry as she hasn't moved and the bedding has soaked it up (does that make sense).

I've become the master a getting samples - boys are easier it has to be said but I usually just follow her round the garden, with my little plastic pot, then quickly position it as soon as she goes!! You don't need a lot for the vet. Said sample is then transferred into an old (washed out) medicine bottle for transport to vets.

I used a pie dish. She was very suspicious and I had to pretend to be interested in something the other side of the garden but eventually she did the deed and I swooped.
Vet has just rang back with results, there is some bacteria in the sample so I am going to pick up ABs this afternoon.
She is quite cheeful so can't feel very ill.

Don't use a reused item to collect the urine..it has to be sterile....go to the chemist and get a sterile container and hold under the stream...otherwise the urine is cross contaminated.
