indent in side of horse on both sides?

Looks like a fat pocket! My daughter's mare has them even though she is a pretty good weight and very fit!

Its hard to tell from the photo what you mean sorry.
My friends horse gets a funny sort of large lump on his side in summer. He isnt massively overweight but its a fat deposit, I presume a bit like cellulite? Could it be something like that?

I can't really tell form that photo, but from what I can see, the horse could be a bit overweight? So would think it would be down to fat?

Have to agree looks like fat pockets. My mare has identical ones which are slowly receding now I’ve stepped up her work.
